Field Engineer

Summary:

• Location: Elmwood, LA
• Duration: 8 Months
• U.S. Citizenship is Required, due to the possibility of having to travel to government/federal facilities.
• Mileage: 250-350 per week.

Responsibilities:

• Repair laptops and desktops in the metro area.
• Perform repair activities such as replacing hard drives, motherboards, and keyboards.
• Conduct whole unit swaps, repair, or replace PC peripherals.
• Close service tickets in real time in the Company's Call Management system using a company-provided phone.

Requirements:

• Must have own reliable car and car insurance.
• 1 year of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
• General knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware and software, including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to resolve basic/non-complex problems as directed.
• Client and/or governmental clearance may be required.
• Police or criminal background verification clearance may be required.
• Dell certifications are required once an offer is extended and prior to starting work. These are free of cost to the candidate.

Preferred Skills:

• Computer-building background experience.
