This could include but not limited to the following: horizontal layout of duct, pipe, conduits, elevations, sleeves, wall layout, and hangers. Also learning to operate Trimble equipment. They will work closely with the Layout Technicians and VDC team and learn to become a fully qualified Field Engineer. The best candidates usually have a background in survey work or are licensed surveyors that want to grow in their field of work. Essential Functions Working in a field environmentAssisting field crews and customers with layoutAbility to use Trimble software and hardware Maintaining equipment on a daily basis and staying current with the annual calibrationPerforms other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility (Direct Reports Y/N): N RequiredProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteMust possess good work ethic and be accountable for deadlinesMust be a self-starterAbility to work and communicate with othersMust have a satisfactory driving record, criminal record, and ability to pass a drug screen Requires overtime as needed PreferredHS diploma or GED equivalentCAD experiencePrior military experience  Travel:May require infrequent travelField Engineer Layout Technician VDC Trimble
