SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Field Engineer provides day-to-day on-site support to the Superintendent and Project Manager, working collectively toward the successful completion of projects in accordance with established goals for quality, safety, efficiency, and schedule. This role bridges field and office functions, providing hands-on exposure to project documentation, quality control, trade coordination, and scheduling while serving as an on-site point of contact for the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, and the Owner or Owner's Representative. The Field Engineer develops technical skills and professional judgment through active participation in all phases of construction.

Project Documentation and Field Operations
Update field drawing sets with current RFIs and Construction Bulletins, whether in hard copy or digitally
Assist in drafting, managing, and distributing RFIs to the appropriate design team members
Assist in reviewing subcontractor submittals against contract drawings and assist the Submittal Manager throughout the review and resubmission process
Attend BIM coordination meetings to assist in clash detection and conflict resolution, serve as a field point of contact for model related RFIs, and ensure model decisions are communicated and coordinated with field installation.
Prepare and distribute meeting minutes for all applicable project meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items.
Assist in maintenance of the Constraint Log and Parking Lot Log by creating entries and tracking action items during project meetings
Maintain and update daily logs in Autodesk Construction Cloud, tracking subcontractor manhours and work completed
Assist with field timesheets for field employees
Assist in productivity tracking using Assemble or Bluebeam drawings as applicable
Support self-perform field activities when needed, lending a hand alongside the crew to build site presence and develop a hands-on understanding of construction operations.
Assist in gathering closeout documents including O&Ms, warranties, and attic stock requirements
Quality Control and Inspections
Log Architect and Engineer site observation issues in Autodesk Construction Cloud, assign them to the appropriate subcontractors, and track compliance and completion
Accompany inspectors and AHJ representatives during site walks and report findings to the Project Team
Actively participate in tracking and supporting resolution of Job Review Checklist items
Capture documentation for QC inspections and assist the QC Manager throughout the project
Verify field dimensions, quantities, and finishes to ensure alignment with contract documents
Learn and assist with building control, robotic total station layout, as-built documentation, and tolerance reviews
Document deliveries including Bills of Lading, first material on site inspections, and concrete tickets
Take weekly progress photos, utilizing DroneDeploy 360 Photos as applicable
Be present and engaged at JHA meetings, subcontractor kickoff meetings, and preinstallation meetings
Assist with pre-punch tasks by identifying incomplete or deficient items prior to the formal punch list phase
Scheduling and Planning
Assist in developing and maintaining the Master Project Schedule
Participate in Phase Pull Planning sessions, 6-Week Look-Ahead meetings, and Daily Huddle Shift Starts
Create and maintain an electronic 6-Week Look-Ahead schedule when required by contract or direction of the Project Manager
Assist in developing sequence plans in Bluebeam to support understanding of building construction and trade coordination
Assist with maintaining and updating the Procurement Log in alignment with the Master Schedule and submittal status
Assist in developing and maintaining the Site Logistics Plan current throughout the project
Safety
Assist in preparing daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and weekly toolbox talks in coordination with the Superintendent
Perform one weekly Site Safety Walk inspection in Autodesk and create a minimum of one safety observation per week
