### Position Summary
The Field Engineer supports excavation and site development projects by assisting with field operations, project coordination, quality control, and site documentation. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field crews to help ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
### Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily field operations and project coordination
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and site layouts
- Perform site measurements, grading checks, and quantity tracking
- Coordinate with subcontractors, surveyors, inspectors, and utility companies
- Monitor project progress, safety compliance, and quality standards
- Prepare daily reports, field documentation, and project updates
- Help identify and resolve field issues or scheduling conflicts
- Support equipment, material, and labor tracking on job sites
### Qualifications
- Experience in excavation, civil construction, or site development preferred
- Knowledge of construction drawings, grading, and underground utilities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in both office and outdoor field environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software preferred
- Valid driver's license required
### Work Environment
 
Primarily field-based with regular travel to project sites and coordination with crews, supervisors, and project management staff.
