Field Equipment Technician

HiFyve is hiring a Field Service Technician in the heavy equipment industry!

Salary: $35-$43/hr

Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift (service truck and field-based role)

Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain heavy equipment and components, including diagnostics, repair planning, and quality assurance testing.
• Identify and order necessary parts, materials, and tooling through the company’s system.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.
• Complete detailed service reports, work orders, and documentation in a timely manner.
• Safely operate and maintain company service truck, tools, and fuel cards.
• Maintain work area and/or service vehicle in a clean and safe condition.
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors and follow all safety and company policies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or 4 years of apprenticeship experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work independently in the field and handle varied repair tasks
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to working safely in challenging environments
