Field Installation Technician (Fleet Services)

Job Title: Field Installation Technician (Fleet Services)
Location: Fort Collins, Colorado
Type: 12 month Contract
Compensation: $50.00 - $53.50 per hour
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Expenses reimbursed

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Motorola and other vendor radios across the fleet vehicles throughout Colorado, including pickups, heavy equipment, tuggers, snow cats, Polaris Rangers, Freightliners, and specialty vehicles.
• Perform radio installation and advanced troubleshooting as proficiency develops.
• Work independently using ServiceNow tickets and direct communication from lead dispatcher Fernando.
• Travel throughout Colorado service centers to perform installations; initial training in Minnesota for several weeks.
• Utilize provided computer, company vehicle, and installation tools to complete tasks efficiently.
• Support fleet safety requirements, including PPE usage such as steel/composite toe boots, high visibility vests, hard hats, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in automotive industry settings, vehicle electrical systems, or radio installations.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with 12V/24V vehicle electrical wiring, stereo/mobile electronics installation, and troubleshooting preferred.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivation, customer service orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort working on vehicles, disassembling/reassembling interiors, and using related tools.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional outdoor work; able to work independently post-training.
