Must be able to perform physical labor, including but not limited to:
digging ditches or trenches backfilling excavations compacting and leveling earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, tampers, and rakes
Must be a safety-conscious individual with the ability to see and hear well. Frequently, this role requires stooping, kneeling, and crouching in areas such as ditches and trench boxes. Additionally, the individual must be able to lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Loads, unloads, identifies, and distributes materials to the appropriate location. The individual sets final trench grades by hand, either by digging or using trenching tools. They also signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
Team-oriented and able to work well with and communicate with crew members, including verbal, written, or following a provided construction plan. Applicants must have reliable transportation to the assigned work site.
Must be willing to work full days and in extreme weather conditions, such as heat, cold, dust, rain, and snow.
