Description
SAIC is currently seeking a Field Logistics Technician (FLT) to support SAIC's IBCS Team in Huntsville, AL. This team is responsible for delivering high-level logistic support, system integration, and fielding service for the IBCS Program. The position involves collaborating with military and civilian personnel to ensure seamless deployment, operation, and maintenance of the IBCS system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interfaces with customers to handle logistic inquiries and problems to include performing customer support activities involving fielding and inventory support procedures using form DD2062.
- Conducts on-site support for emplacement during fielding and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Train customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
- Conduct fielding training for New Equipment Fielding (NEF) of Major End Items (MEI)'s to support and train team members in support of NEF operations.
- Under general supervision, these roles establish company guidelines on servicing and repairs/returns; examine customer problems and implement appropriate corrective action to initiate repair, return or field servicing; and maintain logs, records and files.
- Refers more complex repairs and services to higher-level personnel.
- Represents the company in a customer support role and is responsible for customer satisfaction with equipment and servicing.
- Support the IBCS program with procurement, shipping, and kitting of deployment equipment.
- Support the IBCS program with Joint Inventories (JI)'s to include driving vehicles and packing up and relocating MEI's to the IFMC warehouse.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree and two years experience; Additional six (6) years experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.
Required Experience:
- Willingness to travel (50%).
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
- Able to work independently and efficiently with short term deadlines.
- Candidate must have general knowledge of training, 1-5 yrs of experience property accountability/responsibility, inventory procedures, and operator maintenance.
Desired Skills:
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL), will be required to obtain after onboarding.
- Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- System administration experience with the following: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, switches, routers, network topologies, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to clearly articulate and communicate via email, phone calls, and/or video teleconference.
- Knowledge of military operations, procedures, and training activities.
