Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Field Low Voltage Project Manager Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution of commercial low voltage projects while supporting senior project management staff and installation teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in project management within the low voltage and fire life safety industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of commercial low voltage and fire life safety projects in multifamily and commercial buildings.
  • Attend job site meetings as required.
  • Support Project Managers and field teams with scheduling, material tracking, and project documentation.
  • Help coordinate installation activities with technicians, installers, foremen, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to management and customers as needed.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to become familiar with project scope and requirements.
  • Assist with material procurement, equipment deliveries, and project closeout documentation.
  • Help identify and communicate project issues, change requests, or scheduling conflicts to senior management.
  • Coordinate with other trades on job sites to support efficient project completion.
  • Participate in customer meetings and job walks alongside senior project staff.
  • Assist with preparing project reports, billing documentation, and schedules of values.
  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Maintain organized project files and complete required company paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Provide professional and timely communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
Qualifications:
    • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as a supervisor and/or related to project management.
    • 1–3 years of experience in low voltage systems, construction, electrical, or related industries preferred.
    • Experience and/or knowledge of ground-up construction projects.
    • Contract proofing and/or project coordination in relation to project management.
    • Ability to read blueprints, architectural and related to construction and trade drawings. 
    • Experience with budget tracking, cost reporting and project documentation.
    • Knowledge of project life cycles, including planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
    • Familiarity with workflow and resource management tools for task assignments and tracking.
    • Competence in preparing progress reports, status presentations and meeting summaries.
    • Strong understanding of risk assessment and change management procedures
    • Basic skills in spreadsheet and data analysis programs for project metrics tracking.
    • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, or other low voltage systems is a plus.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Applicants must meet requirements related to background and driving record.
    • Osha 30 certification.
    • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Pay Range: USD $60,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
