Job Title: Field Lube Service Technician (Class B)

Sign-On Bonus - $2,500 (All locations | Shop & Field Technicians), paid at six months and one year, plus a $2,500 Tool Credit issued after 90 days of employment.
Position Purpose:
The Field Lube Service Technician performs essential maintenance and lubrication services for heavy equipment in the field. With a focus on oil changes, fluid checks, and routine maintenance, this role ensures equipment operates smoothly. The technician will also diagnose basic mechanical issues and provide on-site support for larger repairs while driving a service truck to job sites.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy equipment, including oil changes, fluid level checks, and filter replacements.
- Drive service truck to job sites, ensuring equipment is maintained and serviced as per scheduled intervals.
- Order necessary parts for maintenance and repair, coordinating with parts department on backorders.
- Submit accurate and timely paperwork including daily logs, service reports, and expense reports.
- Maintain service truck, completing daily inspection reports and ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of lubrication services and heavy equipment maintenance practices.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in construction equipment.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, mechanized tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and perform basic repairs or maintenance, including fluid changes, tire checks, and brake inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant finger dexterity necessary.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment WorkSTEPS physical.
- Requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen to the satisfaction of McClung-Logan Equipment Company.
- This position is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.
- Must possess a clean MVR & valid Class B Commercial Driver's License
- This job requires the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification.
- Requires working and driving outdoors in various climates/temperatures and the possibility of sitting for an extended period
