Field Maintenance Technician

Starting Pay Range

$18.00 - $22.00 - Hourly

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a wide variety of general maintenance, repair, and light construction tasks in both commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, enjoys problem-solving, and can work independently or as part of a small team.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform general repairs including carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, and basic electrical.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems as needed.
• Assist with small remodeling and tenant improvement projects.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Complete work orders and service requests in a timely, professional manner.
• Transport, load, and unload materials as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Interact with clients, tenants, and team members with excellent customer service.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 

• Strong knowledge of general building repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and simple blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of handyman, facilities maintenance, or construction experience (commercial or residential).
