Job Description Summary Multi-functional position incorporating the performance of mechanic duties on various pieces of machinery and operating equipment.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years mechanic experience working on construction equipment, preferably asphalt paving equipment. Able to work flexible hours as required, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Able to work in a team environment with a positive attitude and must be able to get along with your co-workers. Able to follow written and oral instructions. Must have own tools up to ¾" drive mechanical and pneumatic and other tools required to perform job tasks. Must be able to stick weld mild steel as a minimum requirement. Able to use cutting torches and all other shop-related tools. Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics. Hydraulic and electrical system trouble shooting and diagnostic skills required. Basic computer skills for Excel-based systems and/or OEM diagnostic systems. Able to use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, climb ladders, work at heights, stoop, kneel, crawl, and move objects up to 50 lbs. Able to wear PPE as required to perform job duties safely. Must have state-issued drivers license for up to 26,000 vehicles. Able to follow the safety policies of West Virginia Paving Inc.

Cooperation Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and public. Ability to be flexible with last-minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Out of town, countystate work may be required. Initiative to perform and assist with other positions for job completion. Must pass drug test and background check.
Education
Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Must provide own tools to utilize in position.
