The Role:As a Field Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of complex technical systems and equipment deployed at various customer sites. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving dynamic technical issues promptly. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.The Field Engineer role is fully remote and may require up to 80% travel.Key Responsibilities:Possess an advanced understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshootingProvide technical support and maintenance services, diagnosing issues, and implementing corrective actions promptlyPartner with Seegrid Support, Engineering and Customer Success teams to provide the best possible resolution to customer concernsCollaborate with engineering and product teams to provide feedback on performance and reliabilityCoach customer staff on safety, operation and maintenance best practicesMaintain detailed daily record keeping and reporting, including resolutions implemented, records of time, expenses and materialsRemain prepared for customer service calls which most likely require travel on short noticeTake ownership of on-going skill development by engaging in regular product and software trainingsAdhere to safety standards to maintain a safe work environmentREQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:Associates degree in electrical/mechanical technology, or at least 3 years of experience in complex machinery or industrial equipmentAbility to work long hours in noisy and busy environmentsAbility to lift 50 poundsStrong customer interface with commitment to customer satisfactionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to use software to diagnose issuesStrong work ethic and willingness to learnAbility to travel extensively both domestically and internationally and maintain a clean driving record - Passport is requiredMust be a highly responsible individual who can work independently and manage prioritiesExperience using Linux This position is based out of our headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.
