MATERIAL HANDLING OPERATOR MAINTAINER I Supplemental Sheet For: Byproduct Handling

The following are in addition to the general job specification for employees assigned to Material Handling Operator Maintainer I:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, operates, monitors, inspects, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots stationary and mobile material handling equipment, heavy construction equipment, byproduct processing and handling equipment, residuals handling and processing equipment and fuel/residuals/byproduct additive handling and processing equipment used to receive, store, process and beneficially reuse byproducts, residuals and additives. Knowledge of the methods, policies, procedures, standards and regulations associated with material handling systems, byproducts processing and handling systems, residuals processing and handling systems and fuel/residuals/byproduct additive processing and handling systems. Has occasional contact with individuals in other work groups as well as individuals in internal and external positions including but not limited to; vendors, external contractors, material suppliers, material buyers, and regulatory agencies to obtain, clarify and provide information.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on rubber-tired and tracked heavy equipment in landfill and byproduct processing and storage areas.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on rail equipment and rail systems.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on leachate and ground water monitoring and pumping systems. Collects data relating to leachate and ground water monitoring and pumping systems.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on byproduct storage silo truck and railcar loading systems.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on byproduct, residuals and additive processing and unloading systems.
• Completes predictive and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Provides input to maintain a working inventory of consumable work supplies.
• Completes equipment check sheets on a daily basis.
• Completes and compiles (manually & electronically) daily, monthly, and quarterly Byproduct Storage Area (BSA), Residuals and EZBase Processing Facilities checksheets.
• Follows established procedures to ensure compliance with the Byproduct Storage Area (BSA) Operating Permit and Operations & Contingency Plan, EZBase Processing Facility (EPF) Operations Plans, Stormwater and NPDES permits, and Residuals Management permits and operating specifications.
• Performs various civil construction activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Operations and maintenance procedures and standards for byproduct, residuals, and fuel/residuals/byproduct additive material handling and processing equipment.
• Methods, practices and procedures for maintaining, troubleshooting and performing minor repairs of byproduct, residuals, and fuel/residuals/byproduct additive material handling and processing equipment.
• Operations and maintenance of landfills and byproduct storage areas.
• Operations and maintenance of rail equipment and track systems.
• Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting mobile and stationary byproduct, residuals, and fuel/residuals/byproduct additive material handling and processing equipment.
• Operating rubber-tired front end loaders and tracked heavy equipment in landfills and byproduct processing and storage areas.
• Performing minor repairs on mobile and stationary material handling equipment residual handling equipment, fuel/residuals/byproduct additive handling equipment, and byproduct processing and handling equipment.
• Performing minor repairs on rail equipment and track systems.
Knowledge of common civil construction practices.

Shift: This group works 7 days on 7 days off. Shifts are 12 hours, days only starting on a Friday ending on the next Thursday
