    Description

    Field Project Manager

    About the Company

Our client is a well-established, growth-oriented commercial flooring contractor with a strong reputation for execution, professionalism, and long-term customer relationships. They partner with general contractors, developers, and end users on high-profile projects and are known for delivering quality work while maintaining a highly collaborative, team-driven culture.

This is an organization that values accountability, attention to detail, and people who take pride in owning their projects from start to finish.

    Core Objective

Serve as the professional face of the company in the field. Execute projects safely, strictly to manufacturer specifications, on schedule, and within budget to protect gross profit and exceed customer expectations. You own the physical jobsite and labor execution.

    Pre-Construction & Planning

    • Sales Support: Collaborate with Sales during the pricing phase to provide accurate labor estimates, identify logistical challenges, and recommend means and methods that improve profitability.
    • Site Validation: Conduct pre-job site walks to assess subfloor conditions and verify that material quantities align with actual field conditions.
    • Labor Buy-Out: Secure and manage qualified in-house and subcontract labor based on established project budgets.

    Field Execution & Professionalism

    • Jobsite Excellence: Maintain a clean, organized, OSHA-compliant, and highly professional jobsite. Coordinate effectively with customers, general contractors, and other trades.
    • Quality Control: Monitor site conditions and installation methods to ensure all work aligns strictly with manufacturer specifications.
    • Material Management: Coordinate deliveries and oversee receipt, storage, and tracking of all materials to prevent loss, damage, or theft.

    Financial Oversight & Closeout

    • Scope Protection: Identify out-of-scope work in real time. Do not proceed with additional work without proper approval and executed change orders.
    • Invoice Management: Review and approve subcontractor invoices based on verified progress and adherence to budget.
    • Project Closeout: Drive punch list completion, ensure proper documentation, and deliver attic stock to the customer, leaving a strong final impression.

    What They’re Looking For

    • Strong field leadership with the ability to manage multiple projects and crews
    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality execution
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
    • Comfortable taking ownership and operating with minimal oversight
    • Experience with commercial flooring installation and jobsite management
