Field Project Manager – Fire Alarm & Suppression
Harrison, OH | Full-Time | $32–$45/hour + Overtime + Benefits
Ready to take the next step from the field into project management?
We are hiring a hands-on Field Project Manager to support fire alarm, fire suppression, and life-safety installation projects in the Harrison, Ohio area.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced foreman, lead installer, field supervisor, project coordinator, or developing Project Manager who wants more responsibility, direct exposure to complex projects, and a clear path to grow within project management.
You will work on site and report to an experienced Project Manager who will provide ongoing support, direction, and regular communication. You will not be expected to manage everything alone from day one—but you will play an important role in keeping field work organized, safe, and moving forward.
What You Will Do
- Support daily field execution for fire alarm, fire suppression, special-hazard, and life-safety system installations.
- Coordinate with installation crews, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and other trades.
- Assist with manpower planning, material tracking, deliveries, work sequencing, and look-ahead schedules.
- Help identify and communicate field issues involving access, shutdowns, material needs, scheduling conflicts, and changing site conditions.
- Maintain daily reports, project documentation, material updates, and progress information.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, punch-list work, and project closeout.
- Participate in coordination meetings, toolbox talks, JHAs, and safety discussions.
- Help ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with project documents, client requirements, and applicable codes.
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and provide clear, organized updates from the field.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as a foreman, lead installer, field supervisor, project coordinator, assistant PM, or similar construction leadership role.
- Experience in fire alarm, fire suppression, life safety, low voltage, mechanical, industrial, commercial, or specialty construction.
- Ability to read plans, communicate with crews, and stay organized in a fast-paced jobsite environment.
- Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and willingness to learn project-management responsibilities.
- Familiarity with NFPA, inspections, testing, commissioning, or fire-protection systems is a plus.
- OSHA 30 and NICET certifications are preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work overtime, occasional nights, weekends, shutdowns, or travel as project needs require.
Benefits
Why This Role
This is more than a field position. It is an opportunity to build real project-management experience while working alongside experienced leadership on complex industrial and high-tech projects.
If you have earned respect in the field and are ready for the next stage of your career, we want to hear from you.
