Taylor, TX | Full-Time | $35–$45/hour + Overtime + Benefits

Ready to move beyond the field and grow into project management?

We are hiring a hands-on Field Project Manager to support fire alarm, fire suppression, special-hazard, and life-safety installation work on high-tech construction projects in the Taylor, Texas area.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced foreman, lead installer, field supervisor, project coordinator, or developing Project Manager who is ready to take on more responsibility and build a long-term project-management career.

You will work on site and report to an experienced Project Manager who will provide regular communication, guidance, and support. You will help keep crews, materials, schedules, and field priorities moving in the right direction while gaining exposure to large-scale, technically demanding projects.

What You Will Do

  • Support daily on-site installation activities for fire alarm, fire suppression, special-hazard, and life-safety systems.
  • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and other project trades.
  • Assist with manpower planning, material tracking, deliveries, scheduling updates, and look-ahead planning.
  • Help manage work sequencing, access restrictions, shutdown windows, changing site conditions, and field priorities.
  • Maintain daily reports, material updates, project documentation, and clear communication from the field.
  • Support inspections, testing, commissioning, punch-list completion, and project closeout.
  • Participate in coordination meetings, toolbox talks, JHAs, and safety discussions.
  • Help ensure work meets project requirements, company standards, and applicable safety and code requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and provide organized updates on project progress and field needs.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience as a foreman, lead installer, field supervisor, project coordinator, assistant PM, or similar construction leadership role.
  • Experience in fire alarm, fire suppression, life safety, low voltage, mechanical, industrial, commercial, or specialty construction.
  • Ability to read drawings, coordinate field work, and communicate professionally with crews, vendors, and project leadership.
  • Strong organization, documentation, problem-solving, and follow-through.
  • Familiarity with NFPA, inspections, testing, commissioning, or fire-protection systems is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 and NICET certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Semiconductor, cleanroom, mission-critical, high-tech, or advanced-manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Taylor-area candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime, occasional nights, weekends, shutdowns, or travel when project needs require it.

Benefits

Why This Role

This is a career-growth opportunity for someone who has proven themselves in the field and is ready to develop into a stronger project leader.

You will work alongside experienced Project Management leadership, gain exposure to complex high-tech construction projects, and build skills that can advance your career well beyond a traditional foreman or lead installer role.
