MEPPI’s Service Center Division (SCD) is seeking a skilled and organized Field Project Manager II to oversee customer projects from proposal through execution. In this role, you’ll manage project schedules, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, and help deliver reliable power and energy solutions that support mission-critical infrastructure across a variety of industries.

What You’ll Do:

Lead Customer Projects:

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and projects, ensuring successful coordination from quotation through project completion.

Manage Project Execution:

Plan, organize, and manage proposals, documentation submittals, customer orders, schedules, and communications to keep projects on track and within budget.

Coordinate Field Activities:

Direct and supervise on-site construction activities and subcontractors during installation and maintenance service projects.

Oversee Documentation:

Coordinate the preparation and submission of project documentation including as-built drawings, testing results, operation manuals, and closeout packages.

Ensure Contract Compliance:

Work closely with customers, subcontractors, and general contractors to ensure all project requirements and contractual obligations are met.

Develop Project Scopes & Quotations:

Prepare and review customer quotations and subcontractor scopes of work to support profitable and successful project execution.

Support Equipment Installation:

Coordinate equipment delivery, installation schedules, commissioning activities, and startup support for assigned projects.

Collaborate Across Teams:

Assist divisional project managers and technical teams with testing, implementation, commissioning, and final system acceptance activities.

Monitor Safety & Risk:

Manage project safety requirements, insurance issues, and overall compliance throughout project execution.

Track Progress & Reporting:

Prepare project status reports, conduct project meetings, and communicate updates to management, customers, and stakeholders.

Support Customer Satisfaction:

Build strong customer relationships while promoting the Division’s goals through professional communication and responsive service.


What You Bring:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 3 years of project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Knowledge:

Intermediate knowledge of:

  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Solar inverter systems
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
  • IT cooling equipment

Project Management Skills:

Understanding of project management, construction coordination, installation, and commissioning concepts.

Communication Skills:

Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and project accuracy.

Technical Aptitude:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project materials.

Technology Proficiency:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project.
