Job Description
The Field Quality Completions Manager plays a crucial role in mega projects, overseeing the transition from construction to commissioning. This position is responsible for managing the project completions database and leading the Quality Completions team. Key responsibilities include supporting the Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) process, managing piping test packages, conducting quality inspections, overseeing preservations, handling engineering data, and managing completion walk downs, along with other project completions tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school.
6+ years of heavy industrial construction experience (power generation, Client, refinery, petrochemical, chemical processing, or similar industrial facilities).
2+ years managing completions personnel and overseeing turnover, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities.
Experience leading completions teams and coordinating turnover activities across project stakeholders.
Knowledge of mechanical completion, turnover, commissioning, turnover packages, walkdowns, and system handover activities.
Working knowledge of QA/QC inspection processes, ITPs, turnover documentation, mechanical completion requirements, and project handover documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and completions database systems such as Co-Console, WinPCS, TOASTR, SmartPlant Completions (SPC), or similar platforms.
*** Industrial construction experience should include power generation, Client, refinery, petrochemical, chemical processing, or similar heavy industrial projects. Candidates whose experience is primarily in solar, wind, data centers, commercial construction, residential construction, or pipeline-only projects are not considered a fit.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of heavy industrial construction experience.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Experience coordinating completions activities across construction, engineering, quality, commissioning, project controls, and client stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of mechanical completion, turnover, commissioning, and system handover processes.
Experience assembling turnover packages, conducting walkdowns, managing punch items, and supporting system turnover.
Experience using completions database systems to track progress, turnover documentation, and commissioning activities.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and drive completions activities to meet project milestones.
Strong communication and coordination skills in a multi-discipline industrial construction environment.
