About the Opportunity
OnPoint Industrial Group is hiring Field Safety Advisors for a major, long-term construction project in St. Louis. This is a high-impact role on a large-scale, ground-up build with significant overtime and strong earning potential.
If you have experience in steel erection, rigging, or heavy construction safety, this is a project you'll want to be part of.
Project Scope
Large-scale, ground-up construction project
Heavy steel erection and structural work
Deep foundations and critical lifts
Multiple union trades on site under a general contractor
High-risk environment: rigging, lifts, confined space, and work at heights
What You'll Do
Lead day-to-day safety efforts on an active construction site
Monitor steel erection, rigging, and high-risk work
Conduct daily safety walks, audits, and inspections
Review lift plans and critical permits
Support field crews with hazard recognition and safe work practices
Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions
Deliver orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training
Partner with project teams and subcontractors to maintain compliance
What We're Looking For
5+ years of construction safety experience
Experience with steel erection, rigging, and/or deep foundation work
Background in heavy industrial or large commercial construction
Experience working with union labor is a big plus
Safety degree preferred
Certifications (Preferred)
OSHA 30
CHST or GSP
Rigging or Signal Person
