We are seeking a Sales Representative to drive revenue in a contractor environment, with full ownership of lead generation, client consultations, and deal execution.
This is a true individual contributor role—not a lead-fed position. You will be responsible for self-generating opportunities, running in-home and onsite consultations, and closing high-value residential and small commercial projects. This role is built for a high-output closer who thrives on outbound activity and is motivated by commission-driven performance.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new business through door knocking, referrals, networking, and outbound outreach
- Conduct in-home and onsite consultations for residential and small commercial projects
- Close high-ticket deals by guiding customers through proposals, financing, and contracts
- Manage the full sales cycle (initial contact signed agreement)
- Maintain consistent pipeline and deal flow without reliance on inbound leads
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams for smooth project handoff
- Track activity, pipeline, and performance metrics in CRM systems
- Build relationships with homeowners and small business clients for repeat/referral business
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in high-ticket sales (solar, roofing, HVAC, home improvement, or similar)
- Proven track record of closing deals and generating personal pipeline
- Experience in residential and client-facing sales environments
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting (door-to-door, cold outreach)
- Ability to run in-home or onsite presentations independently
- Direct closing experience (not support, estimating, or coordination roles)
- Solar sales experience preferred (not required for strong closers)
- Must be comfortable in a commission-driven, performance-based role
