Description
Reporting to the Syneos Health National Business Director (NBD), the Sales Trainer is responsible for the successful development, delivery and management of customized training programs for the client. The Sales Trainer implements training objectives, expectations, program development and execution. The Sales Trainer’s primary objective is to ensure successful training and ongoing skill development of the Sales Representatives.
Job Responsibilities
Liaison Responsibilities
- Support Marketing, Field Sales and Field Sales Management Teams by leading efforts around ongoing training content for new hire training, national sales meetings, POA meetings, manager meetings, and other training initiatives
- Interface with Client Marketing and cross functional teams to help identify, build, and deliver relevant training to Field Sales Teams
Design Responsibilities
- Conducts ongoing training needs analyses
- Creates and maintains a workable Training Plan to determine the goals, strategies, and tactics to be implemented to achieve client satisfaction
- Develops training concepts and associated objectives, descriptions, and sequencing for all training efforts
- Works with SLD team, Marketing, Field Sales Leadership and Field Sales Management to determine specific metrics and measurements to assess the success of training activities
Development Responsibilities
- Design and develop content for all forms of training delivery & works with the content developer/vendor as appropriate
- Nurtures the training concepts throughout their evolution to ensure alignment with the strategic intent of the overall brand objectives
- Engages with designated Field Sales Team and Client HQ Member throughout the entirety of development process
- Oversees live training logistical and preparation support, including scheduling assistance, printing guides, and facilities requirements
- Conducts leader or facilitator training for all developed content and provides support for delivery as requested
- Manages live training intellectual property and leverages existing assets appropriately to improve project efficiency
Delivery Responsibilities
- Delivers all training programs, including new-hire training, advanced training, NSMs, and POAs, both live and virtual training
- Manages classroom environment in a manner that allows representatives to meet learning objectives
- Instructs representatives during training classes and in evening sessions
- Evaluates the competency levels of training class participants and provides timely evaluations and feedback
Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
- 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Biotech/Pharma
- Minimum 2 years field training experience
- Experience with creating training content and curriculum development
- Experience with delivering and facilitating disease & product training
- Product Launch experience required
- Hepatology and Account Management experience preferred*
- Proven ability to diagnose developmental needs of individuals/team and implement effective strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Skilled in use of Virtual Platforms (ZOOM, WebEx, MS Teams, Skype)
- Understanding of compliance & privacy laws
- Demonstrated teamwork & project management skills
Please note: Travel will fluctuate – 20-30% level
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $150k - 160k. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
