Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and machinery on customer sites.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to perform repairs accurately.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers and management.
- Operate tools and diagnostic equipment efficiently and safely.
- Travel extensively to various job sites as required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced technicians when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in heavy equipment or field service mechanic role.
- Proficient in diesel engine repair, hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record essential; DOT certification preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with experience working directly with customers in field service settings.
