Field Service Electrical Technician (Industrial Equipment)
We're seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery at customer sites. This role combines mechanical and electrical work with customer support and requires regular travel to ensure reliable equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, align, wire, and start up equipment; support commissioning and safety checks
- Diagnose and repair electrical components (motors, drives, sensors, control panels)
- Perform mechanical repairs, adjustments, and part replacements
- Identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions
- Serve as on-site company representative; communicate with customer teams
- Provide basic operator training as needed
- Complete service reports and coordinate follow-up with internal teams
Qualifications
- Siemens PLC experience required (Allen-Bradley a plus)
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics
- Experience with industrial equipment or field service
- Familiarity with motors, drives, sensors, and controls
- Willingness to travel regularly
- Strong customer communication skills
- Experience with web handling, plastics, or converting equipment preferred
Work Environment
- Frequent nationwide travel to customer sites
- Hands-on industrial work
- Independent role with engineering and service support
