    About the Role\n

    We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Field Service Engineer to provide on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

    \n

    This is a project-deployment-based position that requires travel to customer and project sites. You will diagnose and repair low-voltage communication systems and high-voltage energy storage equipment while working closely with engineers, project managers, field technicians, and clients.

    \n

    Your work will help ensure that our battery energy storage systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. This opportunity is suitable for recent graduates and early-career engineers with 0–5 years of relevant experience.

    Responsibilities\n
    • \n
    • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and component replacements on battery energy storage systems
    • \n
    • Troubleshoot low-voltage communication systems and high-voltage energy storage equipment using diagnostic software, multimeters, and other electrical tools
    • \n
    • Install batteries, inverters, power-regulation equipment, and related components according to project specifications, technical drawings, and safety codes
    • \n
    • Start up, commission, and test systems to verify compliance with performance and safety requirements
    • \n
    • Diagnose and resolve issues involving wiring harnesses, circuit boards, communication modules, cooling systems, and other critical components
    • \n
    • Collaborate with engineers and field team members to resolve complex technical challenges
    • \n
    • Communicate clearly with clients regarding service progress, equipment issues, repair results, and maintenance recommendations
    • \n
    • Maintain accurate daily work logs and detailed records of system operation, site conditions, parts used, repairs, and maintenance activities
    • \n
    • Follow all company and site safety requirements, including PPE, LOTO, and applicable electrical safety procedures
    • \n
    • Support project managers and engineers with project updates and other related assignments
    • \n
    Work Schedule and Travel\n
    • \n
    • Approximately 75% travel is required, depending on project schedules and field-service needs
    • \n
    • Work schedules may change based on project milestones and site requirements
    • \n
    • Some assignments may require extended stays at project sites
    • \n
    • When not deployed, employees may support training, documentation, remote troubleshooting, and other assigned tasks
    • \n
    • Travel will primarily cover [the United States / the United States and Canada]
    • \n
    • Airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and per diem will be provided according to company policy
    • \n
    Qualifications\n
    • \n
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
    • \n
    • 0–5 years of relevant experience; recent graduates are welcome to apply
    • \n
    • Understanding of low-voltage communication systems and high-voltage utility power or energy storage systems
    • \n
    • Ability to read electrical drawings, equipment manuals, English-language SOPs, and technical documentation
    • \n
    • Proficiency with multimeters and other common electrical tools
    • \n
    • Basic computer skills and experience using diagnostic software
    • \n
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet project travel requirements
    • \n
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
    • \n
    • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work in outdoor, industrial, and varying weather conditions
    • \n
    • Strong sense of responsibility, troubleshooting ability, and teamwork
    • \n
    • Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time
    • \n
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
    • \n
    • Mandarin Chinese proficiency is highly preferred and will be considered a strong advantage for this position.
    • \n
    Preferred Qualifications\n
    • \n
    • Experience with BESS, battery systems, inverters, or power-conversion systems
    • \n
    • Experience with commercial and industrial power systems, utility projects, or renewable-energy projects
    • \n
    • Experience with equipment installation, field commissioning, maintenance, technical support, or troubleshooting
    • \n
    • OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or other relevant safety certifications
    • \n
    • Familiarity with PPE, LOTO, and high-voltage electrical safety procedures
    • \n
    • Ability to communicate in Mandarin
    • \n
    • Previous experience with frequent travel or project-based field assignments
    • \n
    Employment Type and Sponsorship\n

    This position begins as a contract role with a strong possibility of conversion to full-time employment.

    \n
