Under moderate supervision, the primary responsibility is to provide technical support and on-site services to customers. The Field Service/Start-Up Engineer II is expected to perform equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance in a professional, efficient, and timely manner.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide technical support to customers via on-site visits, ensuring timely resolution of technical issuesPerform equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance as per company guidelines and customer requirementsCarry out equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activitiesAccurately document all service activities, including service reports, equipment repair records, and customer communicationsCollaborate with the Service Manager and other team members to identify and implement process improvements and best practicesTrain customers on the safe and effective use of equipment and provide guidance on basic troubleshooting proceduresTroubleshoot simple technical issues by collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering and Quality AssuranceActively foster a culture that emphasizes safety and qualityTake proactive measures to identify and address potential risks, while also integrating corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles into daily operations and decision-making processesMaintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relationshipsKeep updated with the latest industry trends, product enhancements, and service techniques through continuous learning and trainingSupervisory and/or Leadership Responsibilities None.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipmentAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingAbility to adhere to processes, policies, and proceduresFamiliarity using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and software applications to identify and resolve technical issuesAbility to adapt to changing circumstances, work effectively in various environments, and handle unexpected challengesAbility to explain technical concepts to customers clearly and conciselyStrong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records, document service activities, and prepare reportsFlexibility to travel frequently to customer sites, often on short noticeMinimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent1 years of relevant industry experienceValid driver's license and clean driving recordPhysical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
