Description

Bio‑Rad is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the Atlanta, GA area to perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on our Life Science instruments for customers in hospitals and laboratories. As a Field Service Engineer, you may also be asked to travel on short notice to support other team members within the region.Whether a routine maintenance call or troubleshooting a problem and finding solutions, you will play a leading role in supporting the onsite technical needs of Bio‑Rad customers. In this highly autonomous role you will spend the majority of your time at customer sites, with travel up to 5 days a week in your assigned territory as part of a national service team. No day or week will look the same, and your work will have a direct impact on Bio‑Rad's success!The environment and culture for this role is fast‑paced and you'll be constantly “on the go”. It requires the ability to solve complex problems while maintaining strong relationships with our customers.How You'll Make An ImpactPerform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio‑Rad's instruments, ensuring the quality performance of our instruments for customers who are advancing the future of healthcare.Support and maintain the Bio‑Rad instruments on which our customers rely to make scientific breakthroughs.Build and sustain strong relationships that allow you to anticipate and advocate for our customers' needs.Adhere to FDA and GMP regulations and requirements, with detailed record‑keeping and service documentation to protect Bio‑Rad's integrity and reputation in the industry.What You BringWhile the list of qualifications may help an employee succeed in this position, capable candidates may have a wide range of backgrounds and skills. If you have experience that aligns with the responsibilities of this role, we encourage you to apply!At least 1–3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro‑mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field or military equivalent experience).Ability to read, understand and successfully follow medium to highly complex work instructions.Strong electro‑mechanical troubleshooting skills.Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.Strong customer relationship and communication skills, both written and oral.Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.Preferred Skills To Support Your SuccessHands‑on experience with diagnostic or life science instruments.LocationThis position covers the Atlanta, GA area. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job‑permitted factors.
