Field Service Technician (Southern California)

Qualifications:

·      3 years of direct experience in related field

·      Must be able to work independently

·      Mechanical & Electrical troubleshooting experience

·      Flexible & willing to travel nationally and internationally as needed for training and support (Approx. 75 %)

·      Must have valid US driver’s license and clean driving record

·      Must have valid US passport and meet requirements for potential international travel.

·      Previous experience in medical device or research laboratory equipment installation, maintenance and repair highly preferred.

Job Description:

 

The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and service to customers within an assigned Southern California territory, with travel nationwide as needed. This role supports the execution of company strategy by maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence, and contributing to business growth.

Responsibilities:

·      Report to VDS+ Technical Service Manager and responsible for installing and servicing all Allentown Vivarium, Washing, and Sterlization products to Allentown customers in the territory.

o  Will travel nationally for assistance as required.

·      Troubleshoot and repair of equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

·      Carry out preventative maintenance and service visits.

·      Assist with training of customers and third-party service providers.

·      Timely and accurate completion of service paperwork distributed to customer and management.

·      Maintain and protect service tools and materials.

·      Maintain accurate inventory of parts on-hand.

·      Assist in planning service-related jobs within assigned territory.

·      Maintain neatness, order, and safety in the work environment.

·      Properly follow all regulations and procedures.

·      Report quality issues and discrepancies back to the service manager.

·      Maintain positive relationships with customers and service groups.
