Field Service Engineer

ResponsibilitiesThe Field Service Engineer (FSE) provides technical service and support on equipment within the company, complying with ISO, FDA and budgetary guidelines to minimize customer downtime and create revenue opportunities. The candidate must operate independently, exhibit drive and a competitive spirit, and build strong customer relationships.Complete new equipment installations, preventative maintenance activities, and emergency repairs with proper supporting documentation in compliance with Quality Assurance procedures.Communicate with customers, both in person and electronically, to instill confidence in Bruker Spatial Biology's capabilities.Provide feedback to internal teams to address failure points and improve system reliability.Support the Field Applications team to maximize equipment uptime and create a great customer experience.Assist with the Bruker Spatial Biology Quality process improvement initiatives.Perform hands‑on field service, preferably in biotech, life science, or robotics, including biohazard safety precautions.Strong troubleshooting skills in general electronics, electromechanical systems, robotics, liquid handlers, computers, and networking components.Excellent communication skills and ability to manage customer expectations while providing outstanding service.Working knowledge of all technical support activities designed to achieve a world‑class customer experience.Capable of working independently and in a team environment, delivering scientific data effectively in oral and written formats, meeting defined deadlines, and representing Bruker Spatial Biology in the field.General understanding of IT and basic networking setup.Willingness and availability to travel; overnight travel up to 50–75% per month. Must possess a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move approximately 80–100 lbs on an infrequent basis.Able to communicate verbally and in writing in both English and the local language when applicable.QualificationsB.S. degree with 3–5 years of relevant field service experience; 1–5 years of FSE instrument repair and field work preferred.Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy and robotic systems.General knowledge of genetic analysis techniques (DNA microarrays, gene expression analysis, NGS/WGS, and quantitative PCR).Experience working in a QSR certified organization.At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full‑time position is between $34.13 /hr ($71 K) and $54.32 /hr ($113 K).
