About Top Lock

Top Lock Locksmiths & Security is a national provider of lock, door, and electronic security services for commercial customers in retail, healthcare, hospitality, and corporate facilities. We are expanding our field service team and seeking detail-driven technicians who hold their work to a high standard.

Your impact

• Be the trusted on-site expert for national account clients across diverse commercial locations
• Keep doors operating safely, securely, and smoothly with precise installations and repairs
• Represent Top Lock professionally with store managers and facility contacts

Core responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial locksets: mortise, cylindrical, deadbolt; service high-security cylinders
• Rekey and pin cylinders; build and maintain master key systems; originate and duplicate keys, including restricted keyways
• Install, repair, and adjust door closers, exit devices/panic hardware, hinges, pivots, and continuous hinges
• Diagnose and correct alignment issues (sagging doors, frame problems, latch misalignment) and improve openings with thresholds, sweeps, and gasketing
• Perform site surveys and propose hardware solutions aligned to client needs
• Capture complete job documentation in our software: photos, parts, service notes, recommendations
• Provide clear on-site communication about work performed and next steps

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a commercial locksmith or commercial door hardware technician
• Strong mechanical knowledge of commercial lock hardware and leading manufacturers
• Hands-on experience with master keying, rekeying, and cylinder work
• Experience with hollow metal, wood, and aluminum storefront doors and frames
• Proficient and safe use of power tools
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
• Professional customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record — field-based role
• Familiarity with electrified hardware or access control is a plus (not required)
