    Description

    TUTCO, LLC, a leading manufacturer of heat strips and heating elements, used in the HVAC and Appliance industry is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Field Service Engineer to join the team in their greater Chicago area. TUTCO LLC is a Subsidiary of Smiths Group with Headquarters in London, England.

    Job Summary

    The Field Service Engineer will install, maintain, and repair equipment on-site at customer locations. They serve as a key technical contact between the company and the customer.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Install, test, and commission equipment at client locations
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or technical issues
    • Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades
    • Provide technical support and training to customers
    • Document service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
    • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, support, logistics)
    • Travel to customer sites as needed

    Qualifications

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Experience with troubleshooting technical equipment or systems
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
    • Good communication and customer service skills
    • Willingness to travel frequently
