This role involves extensive travel to client sites across the U.S., delivering high-quality technical solutions and support for control panels, conveyor systems, and PLC-based automation.OverviewRole: Field Service PLC Programming Technician responsible for installing, programming, and commissioning industrial automation systems at client sites. Travel is involved to deliver on-site solutions and support for control panels, conveyors, and PLC-based automation.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram and fine-tune PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) to ensure optimal plant performance.Troubleshoot and modify existing logic to resolve technical issues on-site.Install and wire control panels and conveyor belt systems.Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Travel to client sites to install control equipment and automation software.Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support with a customer-first mindset.Train clients on system operation to ensure confidence and readiness.Maintain accurate service records, programming logs, and installation documentation.Collaborate with engineering and support teams to improve system performance and reliability.QualificationsEducation & Experience: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field preferred; 3+ years of experience in PLC programming and field service work.Technical Skills: Proficiency in ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming. Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, control panels, and conveyor mechanics. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Other Requirements: Must have a valid U.S. Passport and be willing to travel up to 75%. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
