    Job Description

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in the repairs of components located on U.S. Naval vessels and repair centers
    • Remove and replace various model pumps & valves that are attached and electric
    • Must fabricate, assemble, and test pumps and valves per customer requirements to ensure repair work meets specifications
    • Assist in rigging of equipment throughout the ship and maintain safety certifications for related equipment
    • Disassemble, assemble, clean, inspect equipment using special tooling, measuring devices and visual inspection procedures
    • Troubleshooting problems to determine root cause
    • Install, align and op-test repaired equipment
    • Assist in reviewing parts inventory by checking stock

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly and repair work
    • Must be able to lift 50 to 75lbs and navigate throughout a ship
    • Prior experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
    • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications helpful
    • 50% travel required
    • U.S. citizenship required, no dual citizenship

    Education & Experience

    • Valid Drivers license a must 3+ years experience in a repair environment preferably in a shipyard
    • High school diploma or equivalent required, associates degree, vocational or technical training preferred
