Overview
Lowe's is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site IT and technical support across the greater Meridian, MS area. This role supports multiple Lowe's store locations and requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in a route-based environment.
Weekly store visits include: Starkville, Hattiesburg, Columbus, Petal, Meridian, and Laurel, MS .
As a Field Service Technician, you will deliver high-quality technical support to ensure smooth daily operations for our retail environments. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and skilled at communicating technical information in a clear, professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide on-site IT and data support for Lowe's retail locations along an assigned route.
+ Perform triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of IT equipment issues within defined scope.
+ Support and troubleshoot POS systems, PCs, printers, thin clients, access points, servers, and network switches.
+ Document issues, actions taken, and resolutions accurately; close tickets daily.
+ Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service and clear communication.
+ Travel up to 125+ miles daily within the assigned route.
+ Understand and apply AC/DC power concepts and backup power fundamentals.
+ Perform copper and fiber cabling tasks, including termination using various connectors.
+ Occasionally work at heights of 20–25 feet (training provided).
+ Lift and carry equipment up to 25 lbs .
+ Maintain consistent reporting, tracking, and monitoring of assigned tasks and issues.

Qualifications
+ Valid Driver's License (Required)
+ Strong problem-solving skills
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills
+ Ability to explain technical concepts at the client's level of understanding
