Electrical Wireman - Low Voltage Switchgear

Position Overview

We are hiring experienced Electrical Wiremen, Journeyman Electricians, and Electrical Technicians to support a long-term project with Siemens in Ashburn, VA. This 2+ year project involves wiring and assembly work on low voltage switchgear equipment supporting critical power infrastructure.

This role will focus on de-energized electrical work, including control wiring, terminations, and installation of electrical components. While equipment will not be energized during the work, attention to detail and proper installation practices are essential, as accurate wiring is critical to the safe operation and performance of the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical wiring and     installation on low voltage switchgear equipment 
•  
• Complete point-to-point     wiring, control wiring, and electrical terminations 
•  
• Install and connect     components such as breakers, terminal blocks, relays, and control devices 
•  
• Read and interpret electrical     schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints 
•  
• Verify wiring accuracy and     quality of completed work 
•  
• Perform continuity checks and     basic electrical testing as needed 
•  
• Troubleshoot wiring     discrepancies and make corrections 
•  
• Follow electrical safety     procedures and quality standards 
•  
• Maintain a clean, organized,     and safe work environment 

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrical     Wireman, Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Technician, or similar role 
•  
• Experience performing     electrical wiring, terminations, and installation work 
•  
• Ability to read and     understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams 
•  
• Strong attention to detail     and commitment to quality workmanship 
•  
• Ability to follow detailed     instructions and electrical drawings 
•  
• Experience working with low     voltage electrical systems preferred 

Preferred Experience

• Low voltage switchgear     experience 
•  
• Switchboard, MCC, panelboard,     or control panel wiring experience 
•  
• Industrial electrical     experience 
•  
• Data center, manufacturing,     or power distribution experience 
•  
• Experience with breakers,     relays, transformers, or electrical controls
