Job Title: Field Service Technician (Traveling) Location: Must be within 60 minutes of O'Hare Airport Travel: Up to 100% (Mon–Fri, year-round; occasional international)

Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair industrial sheet-metal fabrication equipment across customer sites. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, frequent travel, and a customer-first mindset. The technician will support equipment uptime, deliver technical training, and provide both on-site and remote support while collaborating with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Core Responsibilities
Install, commission, and service industrial fabrication equipment at customer sites
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to optimize equipment reliability
Provide technical support (on-site and phone/Help Desk) including warranty service
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and OEM specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and electrical test equipment
Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
Document service activities, parts usage, and maintenance outcomes
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and service teams on field issues and improvements
Travel to customer locations domestically (and occasionally internationally)
Required Qualifications
Located near Chicago, IL and within 1 hour of a major airport
Ability to travel up to 100% (Mon–Fri) year-round
Eligible to obtain a U.S. Passport
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in fast-paced field environments
