As a Field Service Technician with BestPack you will have the opportunity to drive service success to create and develop customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. We are looking for a self-driven, enthusiastic individual with strong problem-solving skills and who is responsive to customers' needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery and pipeline distribution systems
  • Install, calibrate, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical instrumentation, equipment and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Provide HMI and PLC controls support during installation of new equipment, and provide ongoing service and support to the installed base of equipment
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary
  • Complete and turn in field reports that capture all time and work completed on site
  • Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, and preventative maintenance to customers
  • Calibrate, monitor, repair, and maintain inverter, controllers, relays, and industrial sensors
  • Install, examine, and replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, and other electrical components
  • Comply with preventive maintenance programs and record keeping of repairs and upgrades
  • Complete on-site system audits and evaluations
  • Practice and adhere to all safety and training
  • Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
  • Regular travel, up to 80%
  • Technical support and communication - onsite, over the phone, and electronically
  • Maintain relationship with sales team, distributor network, and end users
Education, Skills & Experience:


  • 4+ years experience in machinery or other related fields
  • Proven field service experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of an organization
  • Basic Intermediate Electrical (read schematics, troubleshooting, parts replacement)
  • Basic Intermediate Programming (familiar with Ladder Logic, PLC, HMI Design and Programming, C++ logic changes)
  • Demonstrated experience with and understanding of diagnosing and programming of Allen Bradley and PLC operations
  • Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines and adapt to changing work schedules
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
