We're hiring a Field Service Technician to join our Houston team. This is a hands-on position for someone with field service experience who can troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment, work independently, communicate professionally with customers, and take pride in getting the job done right. What You'll Actually DoPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment at customer locations Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, photo eyes, limit switches, E-stops, and related components Identify parts and materials needed to complete service and maintenance work and help coordinate their procurement Communicate clearly and professionally with customers before, during, and after service work, including obtaining approvals when needed Complete work orders, customer forms, purchase orders, timecards, and other required documentation accurately and on time Look for opportunities to help existing customers with additional service needs and provide literature or basic proposals when appropriate Maintain your company service vehicle, including routine maintenance, inventory, supplies, organization, and cleanliness Participate in a rotating on-call schedule supporting our 24-hour service line Assist with installations of new and used material handling systems as needed Work independently in the field while knowing when to involve other Cisco-Eagle resources to solve a problem Work overtime when customer needs, service calls, or installation schedules require it Travel overnight occasionally based on customer and project needs
What You BringField service experience is required. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working directly with customers and troubleshooting equipment in the field. Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial or material handling equipment Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience with 220VAC and 24VDC electrical systems is preferred. Welding experience is a plus The ability to work independently, manage your service calls, and solve problems without someone constantly looking over your shoulder The ability to work effectively with other Cisco-Eagle technicians, subcontractors, and installation crews when the job requires a team Comfort using Windows-based software and a computer for diagnostics, communication, and documentation Good communication and follow-through. Customers need to know what's happening, and paperwork needs to be accurate and completed on time. A high school diploma or GED A valid driver's license with a clean driving record A professional, dependable attitude and a willingness to help where needed
