Job Title: Window and Door Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window and Door Service Technician to inspect, repair, adjust, and replace residential and commercial windows and doors. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with installation and service work, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose and repair issues with windows and doors, including alignment, hardware, seals, glass, frames, and weatherstripping

· Adjust, service, and replace locks, hinges, rollers, tracks, and closers

· Perform on-site inspections and accurately identify causes of air, water, or operational issues

· Install replacement windows, doors, and related components as needed

· Measure, cut, and fit materials to manufacturer and safety specifications

· Ensure all work meets building codes, company standards, and manufacturer guidelines

· Communicate clearly with customers and company regarding findings, repairs, and maintenance recommendations

· Maintain service records, job notes, and material usage documentation

· Safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and lifting equipment

· Keep work areas clean and follow all safety procedures

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Previous experience in window and door installation, service, carpentry, or glazing preferred

· Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to read work orders, measurements, and technical instructions

· Comfortable working independently and managing service calls

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

· Ability to lift up to 100lbs and work in varying weather conditions

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of residential and commercial window/door systems (vinyl, aluminum, wood, fiberglass)

· Experience with glass replacement and sealing systems

· Customer service or in-home service experience

· Basic computer or mobile app proficiency for job documentation

Work Environment

· Field-based role with travel to job sites

· Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions

· Physical work including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
