Position Overview We are seeking a skilled
Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and modify drilling equipment and machinery in both shop and field environments. The ideal candidate should be mechanically inclined, able to work independently, and have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain drilling equipment and machinery. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment modifications. Work in both shop and field environments. Identify mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions. Technical Documentation Read and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, and mechanical schematics. Prepare accurate daily service records and work documentation. Maintain clear records of repairs, parts used, and completed work. Operations & Logistics Plan appropriate job methods and repair procedures. Maintain equipment and work to established cosmetic and quality standards. Return unused parts and properly account for materials. Maintain and care for company tools, equipment, and vehicles. Travel & Availability Travel up to 80% annually to customer and job sites. Respond to short-notice customer service needs when required. Maintain a clean driving record. Possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. Passport . Safety & Environmental Responsibilities Comply with all company safety standards and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments and participate in pre-job safety planning. Lead or participate in Toolbox Talks as required. Maintain safe job sites and ensure tools and equipment meet safety requirements. Promote safe work practices in all shop and field activities. Qualifications & Requirements 1–2+ years of mechanical repair, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience. Technical school certificate preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently in field environments. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Must have a personal set of tools. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport. Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
