Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Fort Benning, GA
Job Type: Hourly Consultant
Hours: M-F 8 am to 4:30 pm
Pay: $30/hr
Flu shot and TB test, COVID if so directed
There is driving with this role using your own personal Vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed. (Valid driver's license and no more than one moving violation in the past three years)
Must have 3-5 years of Printer, Break/Fix experience
DOD Clearance is an asset
Essential Functions:
Provide onsite technical support for customer devices within a large facility environment.
Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify printers, imaging products, and related equipment.
Deliver and install printer supplies and consumables.
Perform scheduled and remedial maintenance services to ensure equipment operates within published specifications.
Troubleshoot technical issues, diagnose equipment failures, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements according to customer requirements.
Assess customer product needs and recommend solutions that align with operational requirements.
Respond to dispatched service and supply calls within established Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments.
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding service status, estimated arrival times, and issue resolution.
Train customers on proper equipment usage, features, and basic troubleshooting procedures.
Conduct product briefings and technical training sessions for customers, vendors, and company representatives.
Complete all required service documentation, including call acceptance, status updates, closures, debriefs, and parts tracking.
Manage local parts inventory and ensure accurate inventory control and reporting.
Collect and report meter readings as required.
Support print technology implementations and deployments in partnership with Operations and Project teams.
Conduct printer fleet assessments and provide recommendations to optimize device performance and utilization.
Serve as the local onsite representative and primary customer contact for service-related matters.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer-focused attitude at all times.
Perform additional duties, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills:
Strong electro-mechanical aptitude.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to repair and maintain printers, hard-copy devices, and imaging equipment.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and print quality specifications.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple service calls and prioritize workload effectively.
Experience working within ticketing, dispatch, and service management systems.
Inventory management and parts tracking experience.
Ability to conduct technical training and end-user support sessions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.
Experience:
Strong Electro-Mechanical aptitude.
Government background check required.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical training, vocational certification, or related coursework in electronics, mechanical systems, information technology, or a related field preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
