    Description

About the Role The ideal candidate is a sharp, resourceful technician who can effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field without direct oversight. You will represent and uphold the reputation of Network Controls on service calls at schools, hospitals, factories, and commercial sites—troubleshooting cameras, access control, and network infrastructure, then getting systems back online quickly and correctly. What You’ll Do · Troubleshoot IP cameras (Axis, Hanwha, Avigilon, Ubiquiti, and others): identify PoE issues, VLAN misconfigurations, and failed hardware. · Troubleshoot access control systems (Brivo, Paxton, S2, RS2, Avigilon, Genetec, Kaba, Kantech): diagnose power/fuse problems, binding pressure, programming errors, and faulty strikes or maglocks. · Work directly with customer IT departments to isolate network and infrastructure issues. · Test and repair structured cabling: identify bad terminations, incorrect patch-panel mappings, and use cable testers (LinkRunner or equivalent) to verify runs. · When service calls are light, support project teams on larger commercial and new-construction jobs: pulling and terminating CAT6 and fiber, installing access control hardware, drilling pathways, cutting in door strikes, installing maglocks, and hanging cameras inside and outside. Schedule & Benefits · 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts (overtime available as needed). · Weekly pay. · Health, dental, vision, disability, and voluntary life insurance. · 401(k) with company match up to 4% upon eligibility. · PTO and paid holidays. · Paid training and certification opportunities. · Company vehicle provided for service calls. About Network Controls Network Controls & Electric, LLC designs, installs, and maintains communication networks, physical security, and low-voltage systems for commercial clients throughout the Southeast. We do not do residential work. Our projects span schools, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, and new construction. We get the job done right, on time, and with no hassle—and we build our team from the ground up.
