    Description

    Responsibilities

    Provide excellent customer service

    Perform and train entry level technicians on the installation, commissioning and maintenance testing of low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment, including:

    • Transformers, power cables, circuit breakers, switchgear, protection relays, etc.

    Familiarity with test equipment such as Doble M4000, Megger, Ductor, VLF, transformer winding tests, Doble f6150e, Omicron CMC-356

    Lead a small team of technicians on electrical commissioning and maintenance projects

    Act as a liaison to the customer

    Work with engineers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems

    Work as part of team to accomplish a common goal

    Prepare and review test documentation

    Prepare and submit daily reports

    Perform safety analysis of jobs and tasks. Familiarity with electrical safety standards

    Use and continually develop interpersonal skills

    Ability to interact with clients and colleagues

    Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Organizational skills including time management, attention to detail, and multitasking

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

    Knowledge and expertise of electrical design, maintenance, and commissioning

    Interaction with clients, customers, contractors, and others

     

    Qualifications and Experience

    5+ years in the field of electrical testing

    Ability to test numerous types of electrical apparatus and relays, as listed above

    High school diploma required, Bachelors, Associates or technical school certification is considered an asset

    Must have a valid drivers license

    Must be able to legally work in the US

    Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

     

    Physical Requirements

    Must be able to perform physical labor including climbing ladders, standing for extended periods of time, drive regularly, fly regularly and travel for extended durations

    Must be able to perform work outdoors in all weather conditions

    Must be able to carry and lift up to 70 lbs

    Must be able to travel 30-50%

    Ability to use hand tools and power tools
