Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Service Technician role based in Houston, TX. The Field Service Technician will travel to customer locations to service, inspect, diagnose, and repair generators and related equipment, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. Typical responsibilities include performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing service reports, and communicating clearly with customers about work performed and recommended follow-up. The role also involves adhering to safety protocols, maintaining tools and vehicles in good working condition, and collaborating with the service team to prioritize and complete assigned jobs. Occasional weekend, or on-call work may be required to support emergency service needs.

Qualifications

• Technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools

• Experience with generator maintenance, repair, and load bank testing field service work preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues independently in the field

• Clear written and verbal communication skills for customer interaction and service documentation

• Commitment to safety practices, including compliance with company policies and relevant regulations

• Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, lift moderate loads, and perform hands-on tasks throughout the day

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for travel to customer locations

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training, technical certification, or experience in electrical/mechanical trades is preferred
