Position Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for ensuring users of our equipment are satisfied with its performance by providing prompt onsite or in-depot service by performing commissioning, troubleshooting repair service, and training support on dry ice production equipment, dry ice blasting machines, and engineered systems at customer facilities throughout their region (Ohio).
Position Responsibilities
Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsAbility to operate machinery and technical equipmentIn-depth knowledge of system maintenanceAbility to lift and move heavy equipmentFamiliarity with safety standards and regulationsSkilled in analyzing information and creating reportsClean driving record
Position Requirements
Education & Experience
Associates degree in a related technical field or equivalent on-the-job trainingFive or more years' experience in field service working with electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Experience working with integrated equipment controls preferred

Additional Skill Set
Knowledge of embedded PLC programming in Structured Text, and HMI development in HTML5Solid skills and experience in troubleshooting PLC/HMI programming systemIdentify PLC Symptoms, ability to review programs, trace ladder logic & verify causes.Familiar with electrical wiring diagrams and electrical schematics/circuitsProvide a methodical means of troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Update, develop and maintain PLC-Programs for high-quality Line-Controls on complete Engineered systems for ES and IBSContribute with programming support during site commissioning of ES and IBS projectsKnowledge Beckhoff TwinCAT (The Windows Control and Automation Technology) suite of automation tools and components for use in industrial control systems.
