Description

The Mechanical Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and commissioning of Kinetic Pressure Control equipment at customer locations worldwide. This position supports offshore, onshore, and international operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service

Key Responsibilities:

Field Operations

• Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Kinetic pressure control equipment at customer locations.

• Perform maintenance and service on K-BOS®, Surface SGV, Subsea SGV, StackLite RVM, hydraulic systems, and related pressure control equipment.

• Conduct functional testing, pressure testing, and system verification prior to equipment deployment.

• Diagnose mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.

• Perform emergency service calls and equipment repairs in the field.

• Ensure equipment is operating safely and in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.

Shop Operations

• Prepare equipment for customer projects and field deployments.

• Perform preventive maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of company equipment.

• Assist with equipment inspections, inventory, and asset readiness.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Support manufacturing and assembly activities as workload requires.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete field service reports accurately and promptly following each assignment.

• Document inspections, repairs, testing, and customer observations.

• Maintain accurate time records and expense reports.

• Submit recommendations for equipment improvements or recurring issues.

• Ensure all required paperwork is completed in accordance with company procedures.

Customer Support

• Represent Kinetic Pressure Control professionally while working at customer facilities.

• Communicate equipment status, repairs, and recommendations to customers.

• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.

• Assist customers with equipment operation and basic maintenance when appropriate.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required. Technical school, military mechanical training, or vocational education preferred.

Experience

• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance or field service experience.

• Experience with oil & gas equipment, pressure control equipment, valves, hydraulic systems, or rotating equipment preferred.

• Experience working offshore or in industrial environments is highly desirable.

• Must be able pass a background check for VISA and Offshore Requirements

Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.

• Ability to work offshore rotations and extended assignments.

• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.

• Must be able to obtain customer-required certifications (BOSIET, TWIC, SafeGulf, HUET, etc., as applicable).

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.

• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces as required.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• a passing UKOOA medical or equivalent
