Based in Lee's Summit, MO, you'll be the go-to technician keeping municipal water and wastewater systems running for the communities that depend on them. From submersible pumps and blowers to lift stations and treatment plants, you'll install, troubleshoot, and repair the rotating equipment that powers critical public infrastructure—working independently in the field and building real relationships with plant operators and public works teams.

What You'll Do:
- Install, remove, and commission rotating equipment at municipal water and wastewater facilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, blowers, mixers, aerators, and related equipment
- Conduct equipment alignments and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on-site, including motors <480V
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and motor insulation testing
- Support operation of lift stations, treatment plants, and pump stations
- Operate and maintain a service truck, including tools, materials, and inventory
- Maintain accurate driving logs and service documentation
- Complete required safety documentation and identify jobsite hazards, including confined space and environmental considerations
- Communicate professionally with municipal customers, plant operators, and public works teams
- Document service work, including detailed notes and photos
- Participate in continued training to stay current with evolving municipal equipment and technologies
What You'll Need:
- 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment such as submersible pumps, aerators, blowers, mixers, and motors (<480V)
- Experience working in municipal, water/wastewater, or utility environments preferred
- Valid Driver's License with ability to obtain Missouri Class E CDL, at a minimum
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform motor insulation testing
- Ability to read and interpret OEM drawings and perform preventative maintenance
- Ability to take precision measurements using calipers and dial indicators
- Ability to perform equipment alignments
- Ability to lead and perform basic lifting and rigging operations
- Ability to perform basic piping modifications (steel and PVC commonly used in municipal systems)
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office; Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to use mobile devices for field reporting
- Ability to work in industrial and municipal environments, including outdoor conditions, wet environments, and confined spaces
- Ability to access secure customer locations (i.e. military bases, treatment facilities, refineries, power plants)
- Availability to work outside normal hours, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs
- Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays
- Work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment while complying with all company, OSHA, and site-specific safety standards
