Field Service Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-precision CNC equipment at customer facilities throughout the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges, working independently, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Travel to customer facilities to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while following OEM specifications.
• Evaluate equipment issues, determine repair requirements, and coordinate necessary replacement parts and materials.
• Perform preventive maintenance services to maximize machine reliability, performance, and equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshoot CNC machine issues using mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret ladder logic and assist in diagnosing machine control and electrical system issues.
• Support commissioning, startup, and operational verification of machinery following installation or repair.
• Prepare detailed field service reports documenting work performed, findings, recommendations, and machine status.
• Accurately complete travel, time, and expense reports in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service while representing the organization at customer sites.
• Maintain a clean driving record and safely operate a company service vehicle.
• Work closely with customers, internal engineering, and service teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Perform additional service and support responsibilities as assigned.
