Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Field Service Technician are:
- Install, commission, and start up packaging equipment at customer locations.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment performance problems and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct equipment testing and verify proper operation following repairs or installations.
- Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
- Complete detailed service reports, maintenance records, and documentation.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams.
- Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and timely service.
- Follow all safety procedures and customer site requirements.

The Successful Applicant
The successful Field Service Technician will have:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or equipment repair.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight travel.
