    Position: Field Service Technician

    Department: Service

    Division: Cortex

    Reports to: Field Service Manager

    Exemption Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt

    What You''ll Do

    As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as the face of our organization in the field, providing both onsite and remote support for apparel dispensing machines used by customers across a variety of industries.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, and network verification on apparel dispensing systems.
    • Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers within a five-hour radius of Reno, NV.
    • Coordinate service visits with internal teams, service partners, and customers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
    • Build strong working relationships with customers and business partners through professional and responsive service.
    • Execute equipment installations, including unloading, assembly, setup, network verification, and final operational testing.
    • Deliver onsite training for customer personnel and end users to ensure successful system adoption.
    • Accurately document service activities, expenses, and customer interactions using systems such as Salesforce, MaintainX, and Outlook.
    • Participate in occasional after-hours emergency service calls when needed.

    Education & Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Technical degree, diploma, or vocational training preferred.
    • Previous field service, maintenance, repair, or technical support experience strongly preferred.

    Travel Expectations

    This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road and working in different environments.

    • Travel is required approximately 3-4 weeks per month throughout the assigned territory.
    • Approximately 25-50% of trips do not require overnight stays.
    • Occasional projects may require week-long travel assignments.

    Physical Requirements

    To perform this role successfully, candidates must be able to:

    • Stand for extended periods.
    • Kneel, squat, bend, crawl, climb, and work in various positions as needed.
    • Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
    • Adjust visual focus and work with detailed equipment components.
